SpotCheck is a fully independent, third-party property assessment service. We are not affiliated with, owned by, or partnered with any real estate agency, property developer, or listing platform, anywhere in the world.
1 No commissions or referral fees
We never receive commissions, referral fees, kickbacks, or any form of payment from real estate agents, agencies, vendors, developers, or property managers. Nobody in the real estate industry pays us, ever.
2 No property promotion
Our reports are never sponsored, promoted, or influenced by anyone selling or listing a property. We don't accept advertising from real estate companies and no agent can pay to make a property look better in a SpotCheck report.
3 Not affiliated with any real estate company
SpotCheck has no ownership, partnership, or business relationship with any real estate agency, franchise, or property platform. We exist solely to serve home buyers, renters, and residents, not the property industry.
4 Data-driven, not opinion-driven
Every report is built from public, verifiable data sources: government environmental agencies, national statistics offices, police crime records, transport authorities, and more. Our AI models are trained on measured data, not subjective opinions. The same methodology applies to every property, every time.
5 Same methodology for every property
There is no "premium listing" or way to pay for a better result. Every address is assessed using exactly the same models, data sources, and methodology. An entry-level property gets the same rigour as a multimillion-dollar one.
6 We don't sell your data
We never share, sell, or disclose your search history, report addresses, or personal information to real estate agents, marketers, or any third party. What you search stays between you and SpotCheck.
7 Funded by report fees only
Our business model is simple: customers pay for reports. That's it. We have no advertising revenue, no sponsorship deals, and no real estate industry funding. This means our only incentive is to make reports as honest and useful as possible.
